About

Four musicians who met in the academy of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and decided to keep playing together.

Trained in Paris, Zurich, Brussels and Dublin, Marie Duquesnoy, Tobias Staub, Alice Sinacori and Killian White first sat side by side during the 2023/24 season of the orchestra’s academy in Amsterdam. In 2024 they founded the Esh Quartet. The quartet is based in the Netherlands. Alongside their quartet work, its members play in orchestras including the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the Netherlands Philharmonic and the Augsburger Philharmoniker.

Since September 2025 the Esh Quartet has been artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo, Belgium, where it works with Corina Belcea and Miguel da Silva. Along the way the four have followed masterclasses with Klaus Mäkelä and worked closely with musicians of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
